Dr. Alison Kitay is a hand and upper extremity specialist who joined Summit Orthopedics to be closer to her family after resigning her position as the Chief of Hand Surgery at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center, where she also served as an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. A D.C. native, Dr. Kitay returned to the area bringing Harvard-trained expertise in complex hand, wrist, and elbow disorders. She graduated in the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society from the NYU School of Medicine and magna cum laude from Amherst College, where she was also an All-American lacrosse player. In addition to her surgical skills, Dr. Kitay is known for her warm, caring approach with patients.
